The primary objective was to create a compelling brand identity for Story Book, a burgeoning online platform that encourages users to read and publish original stories based on image prompts. The platform aims to serve both public users and educational institutions, making it essential for the brand to be versatile, engaging, and educational.
Research & Strategy
Before diving into the design, extensive research was conducted to understand the target audience, which included avid readers, aspiring writers, and educational institutions. Competitor analysis was also performed to identify gaps and opportunities in the market.

Design Elements
The heart of the Story Book brand identity lies in its carefully crafted design elements, each serving a unique purpose in conveying the brand's mission and values.
The geometric icon is a cornerstone of the visual identity. It's not just an aesthetic choice; it encapsulates the multifaceted nature of storytelling. Each shape within the icon has been thoughtfully chosen to represent different elements of a story, such as setting, characters, plot, and climax. This icon is versatile, finding its place not only in the digital realm but also in various promotional materials, making it a unifying symbol for the brand.
Complementing the icon is the word-mark, set in a heavy, bold serif typeface. The choice of a serif font adds a layer of sophistication and authority, making it clear that Story Book is a reliable platform for both readers and writers. The word-mark and the geometric icon are in perfect harmony, creating a balanced and visually appealing brand image.
The colour scheme is another critical aspect of the brand identity. Dark green serves as the primary brand colour, symbolising growth, creativity, and the educational undertone of the platform. To add a modern twist and appeal to a younger audience, neon green is used as an accent colour. White is incorporated to provide contrast and enhance readability, ensuring that the brand remains accessible.
